General Manager of Marketing Communication
STC is the largest telecommunications company in the Gulf region, with a market cap of $40 billion. Since joining its Marketing Communication team in 2010, Ahmed has achieved two promotions to reach his current General Manager of Marketing Communication role. He has first-hand experience of leading literally hundreds of marketing campaigns, with direct responsibility for communications strategy development across traditional and digital media, events, PR, and channel marketing. His career began with Nestlé in 2005, following a Marketing & Management degree at the American University of Sharjah. He later extended his professional education with Harvard Business School. Under his leadership, STC campaigns have won six awards at Dubai Lynx and the company became the most awarded telecom brand at the 2016 Lynx Awards. In addition, STC has collected several awards at the Effies and a Grand Prix at The Loeries – while its Brand Health Index has seen exceptionally high growth, especially in the youth segment.
